Job Description:
About the Role:
  • Responsible for directing and supervising a group of employees involved in inspection and quality control procedures with regard to purchased material, in-process material, and finished products to assure that quality control standards are achieved.
  • Plan and assign work of subordinates. Schedule employees as needed for work load. Handle attendance records through Kronos.
  • Make recommendations with regard to procedures, standards, and equipment to facilitate work and maintain product quality.
  • Work effectively with Production personnel to ensure quality parameters are met and food safety is not compromised.
  • Analyze facts or circumstances surrounding individual problems to determine what action should be taken within the limits of standard practices.
Important Details: This is a full-time permanent role with primary responsibilities on 1st shift. At times, your role may shift based on business need.

About You:
You'll fit right in if you have:
  • 2 years of Supervisor or Leadership role experience (preferably in food manufacturing or consumer manufacturing environment)
  • Minimum of a related associate degree - Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Business or at least 3 years of related experience in food manufacturing
  • Knowledge of Inspection and Quality Control methods, techniques and equipment, and knowledge of typical measuring instruments (pH meter for example) and testing procedures.
  • Knowledge of computer systems (i.e., MS Office, SAP) and ability to learn new systems.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
